Resident Safety Notice – Phone Snatch Thefts

We would like to make residents aware of recent phone snatching incidents in the area and how offenders typically operate.

Phone snatchers often work on foot, bicycles, e-bikes or mopeds. They usually target people who are distracted, for example while using their phone near the roadside or at crossings. Offenders may approach from behind and quickly grab phones before leaving the area at speed.

Please help keep yourself safe by:

Officers will be conducting high-visibility patrols around Lupus Street and Pimlico South to deter offending and provide reassurance to the community.

If you see any suspicious behaviour or are a victim of a theft, please report it to police immediately. In an emergency, call 999. Otherwise, report incidents via 101.
